The stripes serve as camouflage against the reef by breaking up the outline of the fish when viewed from a distance. These fish are magnificent looking and swim like  ballerinas. One of my favourite fish to observe in the water and a challenge to paint. This artwork skilfully captures the delicate silky fins and detailed coral textures.
